Welcome to another entry in the journey that I call life...
For today, I watched the new Star Trek movie; Nemesis which had some great scenes including one where Picard, Data and Worf drive a buggy into their shuttle and the final battle between Picard and Shinzon [the main villain] was really good but the fact that a major character was killed off sacrificing themselves in the end [You'll have to watch it to find out who it is! *evil snicker*] was enough to practically bring tears to my eyes as I grew up admiring this character and the thought I might never see them again in another Star Trek movie is a bit of a shocker...
Janeway from Voyager also makes a appearance even though it's a bit odd she's suddenly got a major promotion to Admiral whereas Picard is still Captain of the Enterprise-E...
Riker is still as gung-ho and kick-ass as ever, there wasn't enough of Worf or Geordi and it was a bit unfortunate to see that wimp Wesley Crusher make a appearance in the movie, no matter how brief it was...
Overall, it's definitely got its good points and I reccomend it...As for future movies I'm going to watch, I'm going to see as mentioned "The Tuxedo", "Chicago", "Bulletproof Monk" with Chow-Yun Fat and Seann William Scott from American Pie and also Johnny English which stars Rowan Atkinson from Mr Bean and Blackadder as a bungling English secret agent...
Meanwhile, I made a very important decision today and I ordered a brand new 32-inch Dolby Surround Sound Widescreen TV, DVD/Video Recorder combo and a separate Video Recorder from a mail-order catalogue as a) I'm sick and tired of losing the sides of the picture on the TV no matter what I do to fix it and b) It's easier to buy it than rent it...
I can't wait to see them in action especially as it means I can finally get to see all those Hong Kong action movies and comedies like Shaolin Soccer and 2000AD starring Leon Lai the way they were meant to be seen [That, plus it gives me a wonderful excuse to see all those Anime DVD's I want to buy including Sonic Soldier Borgman and Excel Saga]
